Etching stainless steel finish
Stainless steel etched plates have gained popularity in various architectural and design applications. By definition, they are stainless steel sheets that undergo a meticulous etching procedure to generate desired patterns, motifs, or imagery on the surface.
After the etching, complex processes such as local graining, wire drawing, gold inlay, and local titanium plating are carried out on the surface of the stainless steel to enhance the decorative effect.

These processes can be used alone or in combination. The specific manufacturing process varies according to the design requirements, uses, and production conditions of the stainless steel etched plates.

What is the Etching stainless steel finish?
The technical principle of etched stainless steel is as follows. First, a layer of photosensitive ink resistant to corrosion is evenly coated on the surface of stainless steel. Then, it is exposed to ultraviolet rays with a film negative placed on it, causing a chemical reaction in the exposed part of the photosensitive ink. Next, the stainless steel plate is immersed in a weak alkaline sodium carbonate solution for development, causing the coating in the exposed part to fall off and expose the metal surface. After that, the stainless steel plate is placed in ferric chloride solution where iron ions react with the stainless steel surface to etch patterns. Finally, the plate is cleaned after the etching is completed.
